Of Leadership
“Having a strong advocate providing insight, information, education, and steadfast support is a key driver in achieving success. As a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, Becker Morgan Group has grown to trust ACEC to keep us knowledgeable, informed and educated regarding issues facing the engineering industry, at national, regional, and local levels.
ACEC is very good at facilitating communication with policy makers, regulators, and experts, ensuring that we have industry awareness that facilitates our success. We appreciate all ACEC does for our firm and look forward to their continued guidance and advocacy on our behalf.”

“Becoming an active member of ACEC-DE has been fantastic for not only my company but also personally for my career. The ACEC world has exposed me to many valuable subject areas, political initiatives, project stakeholders and clients that would have eluded me otherwise. Plus, the sheer learning by osmosis that takes place by meeting regularly with DE’s other primary consulting firms and our Executive Directors has been incredible and I can not overstate its value to me over the past 10 years. At our day jobs, these consulting firms are typically our competition but ACEC provides us with this cocoon effect so that we’re all on the same team and can focus on doing what is best for our industry, and our clients, as a whole.
I recommend ACEC to all consulting engineers because it has been one of the best career decisions I have made.”

“ACEC Delaware’s Transportation Committee meets with upper management at the Delaware Department of Transportation to enhance the communication with our member firms and develop a partnership for improving the engineering and construction industry in Delaware. The Committee typically meets two to three times per year and participation is open to one representative from each ACEC-DE member firm. The Committee has worked on many initiatives with DelDOT including: adhering to Quality Based Selection per State Code; supporting legislation via testimony and legislator contacts; reviewing proposed updates to the Standard Specifications, Standard Construction Details, the Development Coordination Manual and other manuals; serving on committees mandated by the legislature regarding funding and utility coordination enhancements; participating in the FHWA Every Day Counts/Innovation Council; and having sub-committees dedicated to the Development Coordination process, coordination with the Delaware Contractors Association, and developing a Construction Management/Construction Inspection Intern program.”
