1956
Organized as Delaware Association of Consulting Engineers.
July 10, 1963
Voted to be a member of the American Consulting Engineers Council.
October 16, 1970
Incorporation of the Consulting Engineers Council of Delaware (CEC-DE).
1971
CEC-DE joined the Delaware Council of Engineering Societies.
July 7, 1972
Governor Russell W. Peterson signed House Bill 894 creating the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers (DAPE). CEC-DE was a sponsor of this legislation. Each registered Professional Engineer residing in Delaware has a voice in the regulation of engineering in Delaware.
2002
Membership voted to change the name from CEC-DE to The American Council of Engineering Companies of Delaware to further strengthen the Organization.
