This timely case study will explore Maryland’s first modular, single-lane roundabout, installed at the intersection of Bel Air South Parkway and Blue Spruce Drive—identified as Harford County’s highest-crash location. The project used recycled plastic material equivalent to approximately 370,000 one-gallon milk jugs and was completed ahead of schedule. Harford County also reported savings of approximately $1.5 million compared with constructing a conventional concrete roundabout.
